Paras Pumpkins Partners with Stefanie Spielman Fund

Jeanette is a two-time breast cancer thrive-r (a term she prefers to ‘survivor’) who, in 2015, underwent a mastectomy and reconstruction during nine hours of surgery. She credits thriving to early detection because breast cancer is treatable – most of the time – when discovered early on.

Paras Pumpkins is now teaming up with the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center. To donate, please visit:

Jeanette has set an immediate goal of raising $5,000 for the Spielman Fund and will match – dollar for dollar – the first $2,500 donated.

Established in 1998, the Spielman Fund has raised more than $25 million and supported cutting-edge research projects such as:

• Creation of the largest breast cancer tissue and tumor repositories that supports numerous research efforts
• The emerging role of microRNAs in drug-resistant breast cancer
  Creation of a designated fellowship in breast cancer research
• Monies donated to the Spielman Fund is deployed where they are needed most and have the most strategic impact.
